As Inter Milan has just played its Champions League semi-final second leg against FC Barcelona, a non-sporting affair has burst onto the scene.
In a video recently released on social media, porn actress Charlotte Lavish accuses the French international Marcus Thuram of domestic violence, kidnapping and rape, facts which date back to 2022, when the player was still playing for Borussia Mönchengladbach, in the Bundesliga.
In this widely circulated sequence, the young woman appears with a marked bruise on her arm and claims to have been locked in the footballer's home, who allegedly confiscated her passport. She also mentions physical assaults and two alleged rapes, claiming that her screams prompted the neighborhood to alert the police. In an interview with Le Parisien, she explains that she wants to testify publicly to encourage other potential victims to come forward and refuses to "remain silent."
On the judicial side, the Düsseldorf prosecutor's office confirmed to RMC Sport that these accusations had been examined as part of an investigation in 2022. This investigation was closed in December of that year, in accordance with Article 170, paragraph 2, of the German Code of Criminal Procedure, due to insufficient evidence. Marcus Thuram's lawyer, Jacqueline Laffont Haïk, indicated that her client reserves the right to respond to these new public accusations with legal action.
